Intensive Treatment Services for Aphasia

NUCASLL Intensive Aphasia Services

The Center’s Intensive Aphasia Program provides over 60 hours of intensive individual and group therapy to individuals with mild to severe aphasia.

Each client undergoes a comprehensive evaluation to develop appropriate goals for the program. Participants receive 2 hours of therapy per day, 4 days per week, over 8 weeks.

Education and support services for family members and caregivers are offered. Eligible participants may enroll in research studies conducted by Northwestern University’s Aphasia and Neurolinguistic Research Laboratory.

Enrollment in the Intensive Aphasia Program is limited to ensure the highest degree of care to each client, and to be able to customize every client’s program. We do not admit more than 3 intensive clients during any given quarter of treatment.
