NUCASLL will temporarily suspend regular clinic hours until May 4th.
If you have questions or concerns, we will be answering our phones and responding to emails.
Please contact us at NUCASLL@northwestern.edu or call us at 847-491-3165.
The health and well-being of our clients, students, faculty and staff is of our utmost concern. As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread across the country and in Illinois, the Northwestern University Center for Audiology, Speech, Language, and Learning (NUCASLL) will reduce appointments so that we are providing the most essential services during this time.
Our expectation is that there will be several weeks in which regular client care is not taking place, but we will evaluate this as the situation changes.
Message to Early Intervention Developmental Diagnostic Program Families (“medical diagnostic evaluation”)
The Developmental Diagnostic Program clinic is closed through May 4. All medical diagnostic appointments scheduled through May 4 are canceled for the time being. We will contact you regarding your appointments when Early Intervention and Northwestern University advises it is safe for our clinic to resume regular services.
We appreciate your patience as we navigate these rapidly changing and uncertain times.
We thank you for your loyalty.
Part of the Community.
Since 1928 the center has been a trusted resource, providing communication and learning services to the community. We help hundreds of children and adults each year, extending our reach far beyond the university classroom.
Integrated Approach to Clinical Care.
Our clinical care is built on a foundation of research and innovation. University researchers and clinical faculty bridge their knowledge, making the center an invaluable resource for communicative health. Some clients engage in research as part of a treatment plan, and many research studies invite community participation. Our expert clinical faculty direct all levels of client care. All faculty clinicians are licensed and certified.
Northwestern’s professional graduate programs in communication sciences and disorders are among the best in the country, and the center provides clinical training for these future audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and learning disability specialists. Clinical faculty direct the residency-and-rotation teaching model founded on best practices and a comprehensive care approach that includes coordination with medical teams, educators, and families.
Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and POS plans are accepted.
