Diane Novak
Director of Audiology
Diane Novak is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and serves as the Director of the Center for Audiology, Speech, Language, and Learning at Northwestern University. Diane is a certified audiologist and has over 25 years of clinical experience. She teaches, participates in research and is responsible for strategy, finance, marketing and operations for all clinical services. She has special interests in the professional and clinical development of students, improving accessibility to hearing healthcare and educating allied health professionals and consumers on the importance of prevention, identification and treatment of hearing loss and balance issues.

Nathan Waller
Director of Speech, Language and Learning
Nathan Waller is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and serves as the Director of Speech, Language and Learning at NUCASLL. Dr. Waller is a licensed speech-language pathologist who specializes in the treatment of voice and airway disorders. A professionally trained singer and former chorus director, Dr. Waller is interested in the diagnoses and treatment of voice disorders in both singers and non-singers. Beyond working in the area of voice and upper airway disorders, he has a special interest in gender affirming voice and communication services.

Laura joined NUCASLL in 2016. Laura helps clients and their families navigate their insurance benefits so they can prioritize receiving high level care from our audiologists and speech-language pathologists. Her focus is in providing client satisfaction and working to improve internal processes to better the client experience as it relates to insurance and patient billing.
